Fish and Fishing (hereinafter referred to as the “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is designed to identify mushrooms, birds, and insects using AI technologies. We respect your privacy and collect only the minimum amount of data necessary for the App to function properly. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Data we collect
• Data you provide voluntarily
Email address for subscription management, password recovery, and notifications about premium features.
We do not store or process your payment card details; all payments are handled by Apple via In‑App Purchases.
• Anonymous usage data (via Firebase Analytics or similar services)
• Usage statistics: number of sessions, session duration, types of identified objects (e.g., mushroom/bird).
• IP address (anonymized), device identifiers (IDFA/IDFV – only with your consent, where required).
• Photos you upload are processed on our servers solely for AI analysis and are deleted within 24 hours after processing.
• We do not collect
Personal identifiers, precise geolocation, contacts, health or biometric data without your explicit consent.
2. How we use your data
• To provide and improve the core functionality of the App, including AI‑based image recognition and personalized recommendations.
• To analyze performance and usage in order to improve stability, features, and user experience (e.g., via Firebase Analytics).
• To send you informational and promotional emails about updates and features, if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR and CCPA where applicable.
3. Sharing of data
• Service providers
We may share data with third‑party service providers such as Google Firebase (analytics, database, cloud infrastructure) and Apple (subscriptions and in‑app purchases). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and may not use it for their own marketing purposes.
• No selling of personal data
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for advertising or any other commercial purpose.
• Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy. You will be notified of any such change where required by law.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers, which may be located in the EU and/or the US (for example, on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure).
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law, generally no longer than 2 years after your last active use of the App or the end of your subscription.
We use industry‑standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.

The App does not use traditional browser cookies. However, it may use mobile SDKs (such as Firebase) that collect certain technical and usage information.
